BD Vidibor has been photographing for over 50 years. During his long career as photojournalist and editorial photographer he worked for international firms and publications, winning numerous awards and showing his work at prestigious galleries and a solo museums show.
Throughout his life BD Vidibor also functioned as an artist in the field. Since retiring from a professional life in photography, he has continued to pursue two themes: a study of the female nude; and the surrealistic landscape.
His well-known 75 image body of work entitled "In Passage" was shown at the Hunterdon Museum of Art in Clinton, NJ to rave reviews in several states including NY, NJ and Pa. Portions of the work were also exhibited in several NYC galleries.
The work was reviewed in Print Collector's Newsletter when originally shown at Light Gallery in 1976 as "casting an emotional and temporal veil...found psychologically true."
His original photojournalistic work in the area of old age was first showcased in Infinity" the journal of the American Society of Magazine Photographers and considered a body of artwork for it's time. Many of the photographs were used by Time Magazine as well as numerous publishing companies in textbooks and magazines. A number of the photographs were entered into the State legislature in Florida as a basis for the Death with Dignity legislation.
Over the years he has been considered a master printer who "paints with light in the darkroom."
